It's cool how the eye can fill up those blank spaces and line breaks on its own.

Only thing I'm curious about is where is the light source? Some areas are thicker than others and look like they're starting to become a shadow but I don't see a consistent light source. I think it'd be interesting if you played that up. Sorry if none of this made sense!

It did! I wasn't really worried or thinking about a light source with this piece. I was just trying to not make it just an outline so I used the slants and curves as kinda a creative solution to filling up the empty space. you're right though! if I used say the bottom right hand corner as a light source and played it up it could look pretty cool i think.

I agree, that sounds like a good idea. It's just a thought to consider.

I do like the simplicity and how it's not just an outline, I just wasn't sure if your intent was to give it shadows or not. I know nothing about stencils though haha.

His expression is great by the way. You totally nailed it.
